Dough-Raising Campaign a Sweet Way for Individuals, Local Businesses to Treat Employees, Clients, Friends and Support the Army's Programs and Services
The Salvation Army is teaming up with Martin's, Daylight , along with dozens of other local companies and individuals throughout Central Virginia, to honor the Donut's role in helping The Salvation Army bring hope soldiers on the front lines in both World Wars. During the Wars, Doughnut Lassies served nearly 900 donuts a day, boosted morale, and conducted church services while 
operating on 26 battlefronts and often following soldiers into battle.

Purchase donuts at any area Martin's store from Sunday, June 2 through Saturday, June 8, inluding National Donut Day on June 7 and a portion of your purchase will be donated to the Donuts of Hope campaign.
Donuts of Hope is to honor the donut’s significance in bringing hope to those who need The Salvation Army Shield most, giving special emphasis to the symbolic influence the Donut and The Salvation Army have had in repairing broken lives and mending wounded hearts for the past 128 years.
Sponsorship packages (below) include gift cards for use at Daylight Donuts that can be used to reward employees, treat clients or extend a "thank you" to customers - the packages also include a donation to The Salvation Army to provide life-sustaining services to those in need.
