 Serving Those Who Have Served

The Salvation Army of San Angelo has special funding provided through a TRIAD grant for services focused on the needs of service men and women and their families who have served or are serving in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan or Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq.  Basic needs such as food, shelter & clothing can be met on site.  Assistance with transportation, child care, rent, utilities & prescriptions are available as well.  Other identified needs such as help with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, alcohol & drug abuse counseling, and education and employment assistance can be referred to a network of agencies that specialize in these areas through this program at no cost to the client.  Assistance is not necessarily limited to the above described services.  Special circumstances not mentioned herein will be reviewed for possible assistance on a case by case basis.

Applicants will be asked to fill out our standard application form which has been adapted to include pertinent information relating to their military service.  All applicants are asked to present valid photo identification, a social security card and proof of residence (no more than 30 days old).  If military service is identified on the application and/or through the screening process applicants will need to provide orders, citations, acceptable letters and/or a "DD214" form to determine if they qualify for this or any other military programs.   To qualify for TRIAD assistance documentation must identify OEF/OIF deployment.  All applications and services provided are confidential.
