The Community Center is open to the public and school age children from 3:00 - 6:00 PM Monday through Friday. We offer the school children, homework assistance and a secure place for fun after school activities which include pool, basketball, video games, air hockey, board games and much more. There is an application for participation in the gym. The application has to be completed before particiption is allowed.
On March 23rd we will be holding open gym volleyball for young adults aged 18 and up this will be a great chance for you to meet new people in the area. We start at 6.30pm and go till 8.00pm. There is no asdmission fee for this
Parents please be aware that we are not responsible for any personal belongings that could go missing while the children are in the gym
Throughout the school year we also offer Day Camp Programs for the Spring and Summer breaks. The Spring Camp will run the week of April 6th - April 9th 2009. The hours will be 7.00am - 6.00pm. Our Summer Day Camp runs the whole summer, the dates for summer camp 2009 are June 8th - August 21st. The hours will be 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM Monday - Friday. The cost of the Day Camp will be $60.00 per week, plus extra fees for field trips. Breakfast, Lunch and Snacks will need to be brought each day. We begin taking applications for summer camp at the start of April and we have placement for 50 children, so don't delay and get your child's application in soon! you can do this by clicking on the summer camp link and then you can either mail or fax the application to the attention of Ross Cook (Community Center Director).
We offer the opportunity to the public to rent our gym for various activities, such as Pro Wrestling, Basketball Tournaments, Healthy Families, etc. If you are interested in renting our facility you will need to fill out a Rental Contract which can be picked up at the at The Salvation Army office. You can either mail or fax the contract back to the office to the attention of the community center director for approval. The rental fee is $65.00 per hour and a $50.00 clean up deposit which is refundable if everything is left clean.
