The History of The Silver Tea
This event began in 1954 as an out-door affair at the home of Mrs. Colonel Louis Bennett. Contributions were given in silver coin, hence the name "Silver Tea". In 2012 the tradition continues. Our purpose for The Silver Tea is to support the work of The Salvation Army in challenging area around the world. As we raise funds in this manner we enjoy fellowship with our special guests who are willing to be part of this lovely experience.
Thank you...
Special Guest -Northside Christian School Fine Arts Students - For the 2012 Silver Tea we were blessed to have a sprinkling of Northside students to share their music. This week is called Missions week at Northside Christian School and all middle and high school students are serving locally, nationally and internationally on various missions trips.
