The Treasure Coast Civitan Club, a local organization which supports people with developmental disabilities as well as children from economically-challenged families recently donated a tub of school supplies to The Salvation Army of Martin County. Mariel Broffman, Salvation Army Mission Specialist, accepted the donations from Civitan Club President Polly Forestier.

The Salvation Army of Martin County currently has approximately 75 children enrolled in the weekly after-school youth activities, ranging in age from 4-18. "I know that the families of our children are going to be very happy to have these school supplies," Broffman added.
