Need a Revival? Join The Salvation Army of Martin County
for “All or Nothing” Family Revival Sept. 12-14
The Salvation Army of Martin County is extending an open invitation to area men, women and children of all ages to join together for the annual Family Revival “All or Nothing.” Scheduled for September 12-14, 2012, the revival features music, children’s activities and Christian speaker Reverend Jonathan Bledsoe.
Guest speaker Rev. Jonathan Bledsoe was saved at the age of seven in The Salvation Army Corps in Ashland, KY. He is a 5th generation Salvationist and 4th generation preacher. He felt the calling of God upon his life to become an ordained minister in his mid-teens. He became a Salvation Army officer in June of 1987 and remained in full-time professional ministry with The Salvation Army until 1995, when he sensed God lead leading him elsewhere. For the next ten years, he served as an Area Executive Director for The American Cancer Society. Today he serves as Pastor for the De Land Wesleyan Church.
Two inspiring musical groups from Ft. Pierce will perform during the revival on Thursday and Friday evenings. The Avenue D Boys Choir was formed in 2004 to provide a safe haven for young men facing gang violence, drugs, delinquency, poverty and high drop-out rates. The Avenue D Girls Choir was formed in 2009 with the same vision – to build and save young lives. These choirs have performed throughout Florida, The United States and even internationally, having participated in the prestigious Porretta Soul Festival during a ten-day cultural excursion to Italy and France.
This revival is a way for The Salvation Army, as a part of the Evangelical Church, to minister to families in our community. Everyone is welcome. Lt. Andrea Hoover, Corps Officer for The Salvation Army of Martin County, also noted that there will be nursery facilities for children ages 5 and under and that children’s moments will be included in each worship service. The revival concludes on Sunday, September 16th with Sunday School at 10:00 a.m., a special Rally Day, Sunday service at 11:00 am and Dinner after the services. All activities will be held at The Salvation Army of Martin County’s Meyering Center for Worship and Services, located at 821 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in East Stuart.
