Since 1986, The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree campaign has helped to provide clothes for thousands of children every year in Hampton Roads. This year alone in Hampton Roads, The Salvation Army will assist more than 15,000 families in need with food baskets and more than 28,000 underprivileged children with toys and clothes during the Christmas season. "These services are only possible because of the generosity of our community," says Captain Lewis R. Reckline, Tidewater Area Commander. "We are confident that community support will enable us to reach out in meaningful ways to the less fortunate this season."
