The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary of Hampton Roads is a dynamic group of women empowering families in need. The organization’s mission is to assist The Salvation Army in Hampton Roads with a particular part or all its programs, functioning as a fundraising and volunteer service group.
The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary of Hampton Roads had its beginning in the fall of 2005 when a small group of women began meeting. Our main objective was to form an Auxiliary as soon as possible to begin raising funds for the H.O.P.E. Village project.
Since being chartered in March 2006 we began working as a group supporting The Salvation Army’s charitable events with donations and volunteer support for the following: Thanksgiving Baskets Angel Tree Christmas Stocking Stuffing The Christmas Depot In March we were officially chartered, installed our first board and had over 30 women at our first membership luncheon.
The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary meets on the third Monday of each month at the Thomas R. Lee Administration and Social Services Building - 5525 Raby Road in Norfolk. We are excited to welcome new members and businesses in the community to join us in “Doing the Most Good!”
