William Booth, founder, instituted a social welfare program that was, and is today, a manifestation and practical application of the dominating spiritual motive of The Salvation Army. Founded in England in 1865, The Salvation Army expanded to America in 1880. Since 1906, The Salvation Army has developed social service programs in the Tulsa Area.
The Salvation Army has become a leader in the community by developing services that meet the needs of a changing society in all areas of human services. The Salvation Army provides many opportunities to meet family needs in the Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Sand Springs, and Sapulpa areas.
