With your help, The Salvation Army of Waco was able to provide 3,228 families with clothing last year.

WHO CAN HOST A CLOTHING DRIVE?

Individuals, local organizations, businesses, schools, churches, anyone in the community who wants to help those less fortunate in our community!

WHY HOST A CLOTHING DRIVE?

Hosting a Clothing Drive will help someone in need get through the changing seasons (Winter or Spring Season) more comfortably.

Your gently worn clothes can help clothe needy families in our community and support the work of The Salvation Army in McLennan County. 100% of thrift store proceeds go directly to funding the Social Service Programs of The Salvation Army. By purchasing or donating clothing, you are not only helping clothe those less fortunate in your community, you are helping to feed the hungry, provide emergency housing and assisting many clients in regaining their self-esteem.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

First, determine a location, date and time-frame for your organization, business, school, church to host the drive. Contact Christie Harper at (254) 756-7271 to make or confirm arrangements and finalize preparations.

The Salvation Army of Waco responsibilities include providing boxes (if needed) for individuals to drop off clothing during the allotted time frame chosen by coodinator.  Then, a Salvation Army truck will pick up the clothing/donation boxes at the end of the drive.  The Salvation Army can also design flyers, send-outs, or any other marketing pieces to promote community and organization involvement.

Local media may also be contacted per coordinator approval. Public Relations Director will also be available to come and take photos as needed.
