WHAT ROLE DOES OUR BOARD PLAY IN THE SALVATION ARMY?
The magnitude of the charitable enterprise of The Salvation Army of Waco is a tribute to the vision of civic, business and philanthropic leaders who serve on our Advisory Board. These dedicated volunteers help plan and carry out the vision and mission of the Army within McLennan County.
The Advisory Board accomplishes this by being familiar with all phases of the Army's operations in the community, by formulating plans for the improvement of the facilities and programs offered, and by making recommendations with respect to fund-raising, community relations, program and expenditures.

A Letter from Advisory Board Chair, Dana Hassell
After serving on The Salvation Army Advisory Board for the past few years, I was asked to be the chair following Dr. Kinney's tenure as Board Chairman. The Salvation Army is committed to Doing the Most Good and we will continue to do that in the months to come, but not without the nonstop support from donors and corporations who continue to help fund Programs and Services for The Salvation Army. The Salvation Army has several Programs and Services they offer to residents of McLennan County, whether it be shelter, food, clothing or just a simple prayer that everything will be okay; the Salvation Army lives up to its mission of meeting basic human needs on a daily basis. There isn't a day that goes by that I am not thankful for what the Army does for my community. I am so honored that I will be serving as the Chair for the upcoming year. There are several exciting things going on with the McLennan County Salvation Army and I can't wait to be a part of it. Kettle season is just around the corner, we hope to see you out there ringing the bell and donating to the kettles!
Sincerely,
Dana Hassell, Advisory Board Chairman
