"DOWNTOWN IN BLOOM"
Downtown at The Gardens, Love's Flower Shop and YOU help The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County raise funds.
March 31st and April 1st
Downtown at the Gardens will once again present "Downtown in Bloom," a celebration of flora and fauna spread across Downtown's campus.
In 2011, over 8,000 people visited Downtown during the event which features large display gardens, arts, and entertainment and plant sales. As an added attraction, Downtown at the Gardens has created an opportunity for us to participate with a local floral designer to raise funds for our programs and services.
The Salvation Army is one of ten local organizations chosen to create signature flowering displays along The Boulevard at Downtown.
Love's Flower Shop, with the guidance and creativity of Tammy Pietranton, will create a "Summer Camp" scene in a 10 x 10 space using 80% natural or "live" elements (flowers, plants, bark, moss, etc.).
WE NEED YOUR HELP: Over the two days, our friends and supporters are encouraged to "vote". A donation stand will be securely placed at each location, and you can vote for us by placing $1 donation in the stand. Each dollar equals one vote.
At the end of the two days, Downtown at the Gardens will match up to $1,000 the team with the most votes, and up to $500 the second place recipient.
