When you have decided how you want to help, call us and we will send you more detailed information about these projects, or will work with you on your ideas.

Each year more than 6,000 volunteer helpers give more than 15,000 hours of their time with The Salvation Army in service to others.

We are beginning our Christmas planning and need your help! Take a look at the variety of ideas listed and begin thinking now of what you, your family, church, club, business, or organization may want to do.

Last year 6,225 families in Palm Beach County received Christmas assistance and toys/gifts were provided for more than 12,500 children.

Volunteers are vital to people helping people.

For over 100 years, The Salvation Army's Red Kettles have been a symbol of good will during the holiday season.

Why not help us spread our holiday message of hope to the less fortunate by volunteering your time as a bell ringer at a Red Kettle site?

The heart you warm just may be your own!

Assist with The Salvation Army Christmas Angel Tree Program and Toy Shop: Interview Families, Prepare Angel tags, Staff Angel Tree booths, Distribute Toys & Food, Ring a bell at the Kettle

Visit Nursing Homes: Make monthly visits to nursing homes to bring good cheer and friendship, Assist in parties for nursing home residents, Read to a resident, Knit or crochet lap blankets and/or slippers for nursing home residents

Assist at Northwest Community Center: Help with special events/programs, Become a mentor

Have fun being "Crafty Ladies": Help make the various favors for nursing homes, Assist when needed to prepare items for the Hearts of Gold luncheon, Enjoy lunch and fellowship

Organize our annual fund-raiser, the Hearts of Gold Luncheon: Help organize annual fund-raiser, the Hearts of Gold, Assist with the Silent Auction - obtain items, Dress a doll, Buy a table for ten and invite your friends, Assist with decorating

Enjoy social events to raise funds: Buy a table for four to enjoy lunch and games, Assist with food preparation and service, Canvas friends and neighbors for clothing articles for the "Gently Used" Fashion Show, or be a model

Assist The Salvation Army with disaster relief work: Prepare food, Sort donated relief items, Volunteer to work on the Mobile Canteens

Enable the Auxiliary to run smoothly: Clerical support, Be a lifeline using your home telephone, Take a leadership position by volunteering to chair" committees, Be ready to volunteer your time when asked to be one of the "workers" on an Auxiliary committee, Invite others to join

Give aid to the Center of Hope Transitional Housing: Bring toiletries for clients, Offer time to assist in Social Services
